In Idaho each day an average of 15 children are born to out-of-wedlock parents, over 5,000 children each year according to the ten-year study from the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, Division of Public Health, Bureau of Vital Records, February 2013 Report “Idaho Vital Statistics 2011.”

The 2013 Annual Reports For The Idaho Judiciary’s Court Services, Children & Family Court Services confirms that of the over 13,900 family law cases filed in Idaho, in FY2013, 50% involved a self-represented parent demonstrating the extended necessity of awareness required regarding information about Dad’s rights.
